DURATION: 90 DAYS (CLASSWORK AND PRACTICALS AT SITE)

This course is mainly focused for Fresh Engineering/Diploma graduates as nowadays, it has become a big problem for fresher’s to have practical knowledge on-site during their graduation students generally focus on their academics and semester subjects and they are unable to correlate the academics to practical knowledge. Hence with regard to this we omega cadd training institute has started an Internship programme to overcome this problem and also to provide insight and bright knowledge on Practical on site construction activities.

QUANTITY SURVEYING:

It deals with Estimating the cost of the project for the given set of Architectural and Structural Drawing.

It indicates the amount of work to be done under each item, which when priced per unit of work gives the amount of cost of that particular item.

RATE ANALYSIS

In order to determine the rate of a particular item, the factors affecting the rate of that item are studied carefully and then finally, a rate is decided for that item. This process of determining the rate of an item is termed as the analysis of rate or Rate analysis.
Rate analysis includes the calculations of Labour, Materials, and Machinery of the activities in the project. This will be done through the Standard Data book and SSR (Standard Schedule of Rates) book from government departments.

SCHEDULING AND PLANNING MODULE

  • Understanding project management
  • Creating the OBS and EPS for the project
  • Working with WBS, Activities and Calendars
  • Estimating the durations of activities by Parametric estimations
  • Calculating and assigning the resource required for the different activities in the project
  • Working with Roles, Resource codes, Activity codes and Global change
  • Generating cost account reports for all resources(For materials, Manpower & Machinery also for Expenses).
  • Generating Resources curves and S-Curves
  • Working with Work Products and Documents.
  • Importing and exporting to Microsoft Excel sheets.

TRACKING/MONITORING MODULE

  • Defining and assigning the Base line
  • Updating the progress of the project as per actual works at Site conditions.
  • Concepts of Earned value analysis and calculating of schedule variance and cost variance
  • Preparing the Reports for variation in the Projects.
